According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), in 2004, vehicles with LPG were 800 thousand and then it went up to 1 million 600 thousand in 2006 in Turkey. As a matter of global warming and other harmful greenhouse gases, Sector representatives emphasize that autogas usage that is being encouraged in Europe because it is much cleaner than petrol and diesel. They draw attention to users, who are going to install autogas systems to their vehicles, installation and gas tightness tests will be done by Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and they also underline the safety of LPG usage.
